Whytrackin‐kinddonations?

 Fundersoftenwanttoknowwhetheryourgrouporprojectissupportedbythecommunity.In‐kind

trackingdemonstratesthis,andalsoprovidesdocumentationofamatchtothefunder’smonetary

support.

 Ifyoudon’ttrackwho’sgivingyoutimeandgoods,youmightforgettoacknowledgetheircontribu‐

tion.Youwouldn’tdothatwithsomeonewhowroteyouacheck!

 Itisimportanttoknowthevalueofin‐kindcontributionssoyoucanincludetheminyourbudget

planning.Iftheuseofameetingfacility,forexample,wasnolongeravailable,youmighthavetopay

forit.

 In‐kinddonationsarepartofbuildingrelationshipsandbuildingorganizationalsustainability.
